Simon Dedic

Simon Dedic is a founder of Moonrock Capital, a venture investment firm focused on blockchain and cryptocurrency businesses. The firm was established in 2019 and described its work in early-stage Web3 funding and incubation in a company announcement published in April 2025. That announcement identified Dedic as its founder; his Proof of Talk Paris 2026 programme billing was Managing Partner.

Dedic's public commentary has addressed the relationship between blockchain infrastructure and the applications people use. In a March 2025 interview with Blockworks, he argued that consumer applications and infrastructure could develop alongside each other. He supported continued infrastructure development while calling for greater attention to products that bring users into the market.

The interview also covered social applications. Dedic distinguished experiences designed around user utility from products centred on speculation and financialisation. He discussed the role venture investors could play in supporting access and adoption, and the possibility of new social experiences built using crypto infrastructure. These were his views in that interview, rather than claims about the results of a particular investment.

In April 2025, Moonrock announced that it was joining Echo as a group lead. The company described the arrangement as a way to offer community access to early-stage private deal flow through an onchain investment platform. The announcement placed its venture activity within a distribution model involving participants beyond the firm's own investment team.

At Proof of Talk Paris 2026, Dedic was listed in Proof of Pitch - General Track on 2 June. The programme placed the pitch competition on the Investing in Digital Assets track, on the Taostats Stage at the Louvre Palace. His recorded participation brought the Moonrock venture-investment perspective to a shared programme block; the underlying speaker link does not assign a separate individual pitch role.
