Arnaud Caudoux is Deputy CEO of Bpifrance, the French public investment bank. He studied at the École Polytechnique and graduated from the École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées. He began his career in 1997 as a consultant at Andersen Consulting, now Accenture, and joined A.T. Kearney in 2001.
In 2003 he moved to Sofaris, which handled loan-guarantee schemes for small and medium-sized businesses, as chief credit risk and IT officer. He was deputy chief executive of OSEO Garantie, as Sofaris had become, from 2004 to 2008, and deputy chief executive of OSEO from 2008 to 2012. When Bpifrance was created in 2013, bringing together OSEO, CDC Entreprises and FSI, he was appointed its executive director and chief financial officer. In 2015 he was named deputy chief executive, responsible for finance, risk, information systems and the guarantee business.
In February 2021, when Technip Energies was spun off from TechnipFMC, he stepped down from the TechnipFMC board and became a non-executive director of Technip Energies.
In March 2025 Bpifrance said it planned to invest up to €25 million directly in digital assets, backing blockchain projects with a strong French footprint, and quoted him on the plan. At a separate press briefing, as reported by The Block from a Bloomberg account, he said direct token investment had become "much more urgent" in light of the United States' accelerating crypto strategy, and that "we want to keep those companies here". In April 2026 he was quoted in Bpifrance's announcement that it would use Société Générale-FORGE's EUR CoinVertible, a stablecoin meeting the requirements of the EU's MiCA regulation, as a settlement asset for capital-markets transactions, for crypto-asset exchanges within its digital-asset investment activity, and for treasury and liquidity management. In that statement he described stablecoins as a strategic building block and a matter of monetary sovereignty.
He spoke at Proof of Talk Paris 2026 as Deputy CEO of Bpifrance. On 3 June 2026, the summit's second day, he sat on the Hecto Main Stage panel "Beyond USD: The Future of Euro, Sterling and Swiss Franc Stablecoins" with Elliot Hentov, Sasha Mills and Johannes Kern, moderated by Lisa Cameron. The invitation-only summit, organised by X Ventures, was held at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in the Louvre Palace, Paris.

“We want to keep those companies here because we strongly believe that it's very important in the future to have our own ecosystem.”
“We are convinced of the growing importance that these players will take on in the years to come and want to increase French competitiveness and presence in the digital assets field.”
