The full account.
Christian Niedermüller is a Vienna-based finance executive who moved into digital assets after a career in banking and private equity. At Proof of Talk Paris 2026 he was billed as CEO of LDC EU (LianLian Group). Austrian company records list him as one of two managing directors, each with sole power of representation, of LDC Finternet EU GmbH, a Vienna company formed on 21 January 2026 and wholly owned by LDC Holding Limited.
A Business Circle speaker biography describes more than 15 years in traditional banking and private equity, including roles at UniCredit, ABBAG, Cerberus and HCOB, and work on major balance-sheet restructurings in Austria and Germany.
In February 2022 Blocktrade, a Luxembourg-based digital asset exchange, appointed him chief executive, succeeding Bernhard Blaha. When the Zug private equity firm Web3 Investco AG agreed that September to acquire the exchange, he remained chief executive and joined the buyer's board, saying Blocktrade would "highly benefit from the vast industry knowledge and extensive network of its new shareholder". In June 2024 Blocktrade announced its acquisition by a group of Estonian fintech investors, with Fred Kaasik as its new chief executive. The announcement described Niedermüller as former CEO and quoted him saying the team had developed the exchange "from a pretty average platform into a top-notch market standard platform" over the previous two and a half years.
In February 2025 KuCoin opened a European headquarters in Vienna and named him chief operating officer of KuCoin EU, alongside chief executive Oliver Stauber, as the exchange prepared to apply for a MiCAR licence in Austria. A KuCoin announcement in June 2025 listed him among the four managing directors leading KuCoin EU.
He co-founded the venture firms SMAPE Capital and DAIC Capital, and DAIC Capital's profile of him describes him as a co-founder and board member of the Digital Asset Association Austria. On 3 June 2026 he spoke at Proof of Talk Paris 2026 on the Taostats Stage, on the panel "The Current State of Global Stablecoin Rails: Payments, Settlement and Compliance" with Josiah Senu and Suzanne Morsfield, moderated by Eddie Chong.
