Dan Simerman appeared at Proof of Talk Paris 2026 as co-founder of Temple Digital Group. A dated announcement from SBI Holdings on 21 May 2026 identified him more specifically as Temple’s co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer. Temple’s executive-team page lists Simerman as CSO alongside chief executive Evan Varsamis and chief technology officer John Antoniou.
Temple develops trading infrastructure on the Canton Network. SBI’s May announcement described an electronic exchange intended for institutional participants, with transaction privacy, immediate settlement and interoperability between financial applications. It also described Temple’s Lightspeed matching system and plans to support regulated markets after obtaining the relevant licences. Temple’s own company description places trading, asset issuance and an asset registry within its product direction, emphasising privacy and compliance as part of capital-market infrastructure. In Paris, his panel focused on applications built on Canton, bringing trading infrastructure into a conversation with data, asset issuance and stablecoin operators. SBI led Temple’s investment round through a subsidiary. Its announcement placed the investment within SBI’s expansion into real-world asset securitisation and institutional digital-asset trading, including infrastructure for traditional market products.
At Proof of Talk Paris 2026, Dan Simerman took part in the panel "Building Applications on Canton" on 3 June. The session ran from 12:05 to 12:40 on the Taostats Stage at the Louvre Palace. The programme also listed Sacha Ghebali, Luis Cuello and Ben Milne. The moderator was Danish Chaudhry. In that edition’s roster, Sacha Ghebali was billed with The Tie; Luis Cuello was billed with Minted; Ben Milne was billed with Brale; Danish Chaudhry was billed with Paper Ventures.
