Danish Chaudhry

Danish Chaudhry is a co-founder and general partner of Paper Ventures, an early-stage venture firm investing in Web3 and blockchain projects. At Proof of Talk Paris 2026, held 2–3 June 2026 at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in the Louvre Palace, he moderated "Building Applications on Canton", a panel on the Taostats Stage on the second day, with Dan Simerman, Sacha Ghebali, Luis Cuello and Ben Milne. That afternoon he sat on the jury for "Proof of Pitch - Canton Track" on the X Ventures Masterclass Stage, alongside Keli Callaghan, Leeor Groen and Yiannis Varelas. A results report published on 11 June 2026 named Parthenon, which it described as a credit product offering institutions undercollateralised, fixed-rate lending for digital assets, as the track's winner.

Paper Ventures launched publicly in January 2024, founded by Chaudhry, Oliver Blakey and Ivailo Jordanov, with an initial fund capped at $25 million and aimed at early-stage Web3 and blockchain projects. The Defiant's report on the launch said the founders had previously funded Frax Finance, SEI, Polygon, Injective, Polkadot, Moonbeam and Cosmos, as well as the GameFi projects Merit Circle/Beam, Illuvium and YGG. In March 2024, Paper Ventures and Maven11 led a $10 million funding round in the blockchain project Sophon. The firm's own site lists Sophon among its portfolio companies, together with Renzo, Camp Network and Aligned Layer.

Chaudhry's background is in traditional finance. According to The Defiant, he worked at Ernst & Young, where he was involved in transactions during the financial crisis, and then joined BlackRock's equities team, where he was responsible for building out analytics and risk models within Aladdin. He went on to found and launch FMFW.io, previously the Bitcoin.com Exchange, which the same report says grew to 1.5 million users. He studied at the University of California, Berkeley, and the London School of Economics.
