Diogo Mónica appeared at Proof of Talk Paris 2026 on 2 June in “Investment Opportunities in the Rise of Stablecoins”. The Hecto Main Stage fireside paired him with Rob Hadick, with Amanda Cassatt moderating. The programme also linked him to the Proof of Pitch General Track on the Taostats Stage that afternoon. That programme link records participation without distinguishing a pitching or judging role.

Mónica was billed as General Partner, Haun Ventures. The firm's dated announcement of 20 March 2024 records his appointment and his transition to executive chairman of the board at Anchorage Digital. Its current team page corroborates both roles, as does his own professional site. Reporting by The Block and Axios independently recorded the move to Haun Ventures and his continuing relationship with Anchorage.

His earlier professional work was in security engineering. The Haun appointment announcement identifies platform-security leadership at Square, subsequently known as Block, and security work at Docker. His career therefore connects investment work with the operational requirements of digital-asset infrastructure. Those role descriptions do not require attributing the development of a company platform or an industry standard to one person.

At Haun Ventures, Mónica has published investment memos under his own name on businesses including Chaos Labs, BVNK, Finisterra, Erebor and Jota. His Jota memo of 2 July 2026 described Haun's first investment in Brazil and set out the firm's interest in financial services accessed through conversational interfaces. The memo discussed a financial assistant built around the ways small-business operators already used WhatsApp, rather than presenting a new interface as a substitute for their existing habits.

His writing continued after the Paris edition. In an essay published on 28 September 2026, he examined containment and monitoring for capable AI systems, including tamper-resistant logs and isolated evaluation environments. That later security essay extends the profile's account of his professional interests without assigning those views to his stablecoin fireside.
