Evan Feng

Evan Feng is a Partner on the investment team at CoinFund, a crypto investment firm founded in 2015 and based in New York. He began his career in traditional finance, completing a two-year analyst programme in Barclays' investment banking division, before moving to the buy side as a fundamental long/short equities analyst covering technology, media and telecom stocks, first at Citadel and later at Point72. In 2019 he founded Tapestry Capital, where he was Founder and Chief Investment Officer, and in September 2020 he joined CoinFund's investment research team. Announcing the move, CoinFund said Feng brought “his experiences as both a traditional fundamental long/short equities analyst at Citadel and Point72 and more recently, his passion and focuses as an independent researcher and investor in the digital asset space”.

CoinFund lists Feng as a sponsor on investments including Veda, Ondo, ether.fi, Gensyn and Gunzilla Games. He wrote the firm's June 2025 note explaining why it led an $18 million Series A round in Veda, a cross-chain DeFi vault platform which, according to the funding announcement, held over $3.7 billion in total value locked at the time of the raise, and he joined Veda's co-founders on CoinFund's “Mined with CoinFund” podcast to discuss the fundraise and Veda's BoringVault standard. That episode page, published in June 2025, bills him as Partner and Director of Research; CoinFund's own team page gives his title simply as Partner.

Feng spoke at Proof of Talk Paris 2026, on the Taostats Stage on 2 June, as a panellist on “Institutional Yield in Crypto: From Bitcoin Strategies to Onchain Vaults”, a session moderated by Travis Hayes. The programme lists Sunand Raghupathi, Karl Naim and Dr. Martin Derka on the same panel. He also sat on the General Track jury for Proof of Pitch, the venture competition held alongside the summit, with jurors from Dragonfly, Haun Ventures, Simply Staking & Spectrum Nodes, Raptor Digital, Moonrock Capital, Foresight Ventures and Draper Associates.

CoinFund lists his education as New York University's Stern School of Business, in finance, accounting and philosophy.
