Evin McMullen

Evin McMullen spoke at Proof of Talk Paris 2026 as co-founder and CEO of Billions Network. She was a panellist on “Personhood, Provenance, and Verification in the Agentic Age”, which ran on the Taostats Stage from 15:15 to 15:55 on 3 June within the Agentic AI track. Pierre Aubert, Stuart Haber and Chi Zhang were the other panellists; Mohamed Ezeldin moderated. The programme brought her work on digital identity into a session concerned with verification as software agents become participants in online activity.

McMullen remained co-founder and chief executive of Billions Network in October 2026. The company’s dated article of 2 October identifies her under that title, independently corroborated by the DeAI News Journal interview listing published on 8 September. Her earlier identity work included Disco.xyz, the verifiable data platform that merged with Privado ID in September 2024. The merger announcement named her as Privado ID’s new co-founder and chief strategy officer, while professional reporting described Disco’s Data Backpack as a tool for consolidating a user’s online presence.

Her September publications give a more specific account of the identity problem she addresses. In a CoinDesk opinion column published on 16 September, McMullen distinguished verifying a fact about someone from retaining their identity documents. She argued for minimum disclosure and portable proofs, with an agent able to demonstrate permission to act for a person without carrying that person’s full identity into every service it visits.

That argument also appeared in her September DeAI News Journal interview on agent payments and identity. The publisher’s description records her connecting payments across different systems with the need for an interoperable identity layer. A Billions article of 14 September develops the same theme through her discussion of user intent: software should execute a person’s goals while proving whom it acts for. These are documented public positions after Paris, separate from the programme’s record of her participation in June.
