Gregg Bell is Chief Investment Officer at Hashgraph, an enterprise software firm that describes itself as powering the next generation of connected digital markets and that, following a restructuring reported in January 2026, took the lead on business and ecosystem development for the Hedera network, work that had previously sat with the Hedera Foundation. He spoke at Proof of Talk Paris 2026 on the Taostats Stage on 3 June 2026, on a panel titled "How Tokenised Markets Create New Opportunities for Investors", scheduled 10:40–11:15, alongside Mashal Waqar, Robby Yung and Matt O'Connor, and moderated by Sheraz Ahmed.

Bell's career runs from Wall Street into digital assets. By his own account, given in bios he supplies to conference organisers, he worked as a trader and as an asset-backed securities investment banker at Royal Bank of Scotland, then in credit at the hedge funds ArrowMark Partners and Silver Point Capital. He was Chief Operating Officer of Salt Lending, where, he has said, he underwrote the first loans ever secured by cryptocurrency, work a November 2025 interview places in 2016. He co-founded A3 Financial Investments, a registered investment adviser, where he says he served as chief investment officer of a Nasdaq-listed fund, and he was later Head of Growth at Binance.US. He holds a B.S. from the Vanderbilt University School of Engineering.

Before the Hashgraph role, Bell was Chief Business Officer of the Hedera Foundation, the organisation previously named the HBAR Foundation. He was reported in that title as late as November 2025, and in October 2025 commented publicly on the approval of an HBAR exchange-traded fund. By HederaCon in Miami in May 2026 he was listed as Hashgraph's Chief Investment Officer, and on 11 June 2026, eight days after the Paris edition, he was quoted in that role announcing work with the tokenisation platform Archax to stream cash flows in real time alongside tokenised securities issued on Hedera. He was still billed as Hashgraph's Chief Investment Officer at the Real-World Asset Summit in Brooklyn on 1–2 September 2026.

In a November 2025 interview he described his own history as bridging traditional finance with technology, and said the future is one where traditional securities, payments and credit instruments live natively on decentralised infrastructure.

Announcing Hashgraph's June 2026 work with Archax, Bell said enabling cash flows to move seamlessly with tokenised securities brings greater efficiency, transparency and precision to capital markets, and described it as a step toward financial assets and the value they generate moving together in real time.
