Jason Jiang is Chief Business Officer of CertiK, the blockchain security company, a title CertiK used for him in a press release dated 15 September 2026. He spoke at Proof of Talk Paris 2026 as a panellist on "DeFi Under Attack: Securing Onchain Finance and the Machine Economy", held on the Hecto Main Stage on 3 June 2026. Kostas Chalkias, Charles Guillemet and Rodrigo Coelho shared the panel, and Nikola Stojanow moderated.
Jiang has spoken publicly about major crypto thefts. On Cointelegraph's The Agenda podcast, in an episode reported in March 2025, he discussed the $1.4 billion theft from Bybit. Cointelegraph reported that the Lazarus Group had compromised the devices of all three signers controlling Bybit's multisignature wallet. Jiang said the signers had in effect signed blind because their devices did not show the full destination address. He expected the industry to respond by making signing more transparent and easier to recognise. In the same interview he said crypto "needs to hug the regulation" if it is to flourish.
In an October 2025 interview with TheStreet, Jiang said that "everything can be prevented". The outlet reported his view that most crypto failures begin with people rather than software. He compared the banking industry's two centuries of development with blockchain's history of less than twenty years.
In May 2024 Jiang was quoted in CertiK's announcement of CertiK Ventures, the company's investment arm. In August 2026 CertiK reported that he had spoken in Rio de Janeiro on 13 August about Brazil's Virtual Asset Service Provider framework. There he set out four things companies weigh before entering a regulated market: compliance with local rules, infrastructure for regulated operations at scale, onchain monitoring and incident response. In September 2026 he attended the signing of a memorandum of understanding between CertiK and the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to CertiK's company page, Jiang earlier founded and led Inno Optics, Inc. from 2012 to 2018. The company provided identification systems based on Raman optical technology and listed on China's NEEQ market in 2018. Before that he was General Manager of China for Greif Inc.
