Jose Rios was billed as founder and chief executive of BT Labs at Proof of Talk Paris 2026. His professional background includes semiconductor systems and enterprise computing. Quantum Blockchain Technologies’ announcement of 12 September 2024 appointed him strategic adviser and identified his previous position as General Manager of Blockchain and Business Solutions in Intel’s Accelerated Computing Systems and Graphics Group. The release stated that he had spent 25 years at Intel.
BTLabs’ involvement in decentralised AI was documented in Yanez Compliance’s July 2025 announcement about its Bittensor subnet operations. That release identified Rios as BT Labs CEO and described BT Labs as providing mining operations, subnet development and infrastructure services. The Bittensor Commons Foundation’s public leadership page separately lists Rios as co-director and BTLabs CEO, while Exploit Summit’s September 2026 speaker roster identifies him as BTLabs’ founder. BTLabs’ own website describes SwitchBoard, an enterprise AI control platform with modules for workload routing, visual processing, external intelligence and security. SwitchBoard separates its enterprise AI offering into routing, vision, search and security components, with deployment options across cloud, hybrid and on-premises environments.
