The full account.
Josiah Senu spoke at Proof of Talk Paris 2026 as co-founder and chief executive of Zuba. Backbone Ventures’ portfolio record identifies him and Max Abdulkerimov as founders and dates its investment in Zuba to 2025. The investor describes a payments company enabling businesses to move funds into, out of and across Africa through one API, with cross-border payouts and multi-currency business accounts. EWOR also lists Senu among its fellows as Zuba’s CEO and co-founder.
An original interview published by Early Rounds in April 2026 provides a dated account of Senu’s work. He described Zuba’s use of stablecoins as an intermediate transfer mechanism: local currency is converted for the cross-border leg and converted back at the receiving end. The discussion focused on the difficulty businesses face paying for overseas services and the working-capital costs of delayed settlement. It also recorded his earlier operating experience at Teya, a payments company. Zuba’s investor description and the interview place the business at the intersection of payment collection, currency conversion and settlement. In Paris, Senu joined a discussion of global stablecoin rails, payments, settlement and compliance.
At Proof of Talk Paris 2026, Josiah Senu took part in the panel "The Current State of Global Stablecoin Rails: Payments, Settlement and Compliance" on 3 June. The session ran from 14:40 to 15:10 on the Taostats Stage at the Louvre Palace. The programme also listed Christian Niedermüller and Suzanne Morsfield. The moderator was Eddie Chong. In that edition’s roster, Christian Niedermüller was billed with LDC EU (LianLian Group); Suzanne Morsfield was billed with Lukka; Eddie Chong was billed with SFI.
