Leeor Groen

Leeor Groen is a Partner at Spartan Group, the digital asset investment and advisory firm founded in 2017 by Melody He, Kelvin Koh and Casper B. Johansen. On 29 September 2025 Spartan announced that Groen had joined the partnership as its first new Partner since the firm's founding. He had joined Spartan in 2021 as an Executive Director. The firm's team page lists him as Partner, Spartan Advisory, the division Spartan describes as handling M&A transactions and token deals.

Spartan's announcement said Groen had been dedicated to digital assets since 2016, and that his track record included guiding companies through strategic financings, token launches and raises, and M&A deals, with a focus on aligning founders with long-term capital and strategic partners. It added that he would continue to split his time between Europe and North America, drawing on international experience from the US, UK, Switzerland, Scandinavia, Singapore and Australia.

Earlier, Groen was APAC Managing Director of Blockchain Valley Ventures (BVV). In a September 2020 interview with Fintech News Singapore he said: "Our mission is to be the most relevant investor and dealmaker in the industry." He told the publication that BVV had so far backed eight companies and approved two further investments, and that it initially invested between USD 250,000 and 500,000 while playing an active role in shaping a business's strategic direction.

Groen spoke at Proof of Talk Paris 2026, held 2–3 June 2026 at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Louvre Palace, as Partner at Spartan Group. On 3 June he sat on the Taostats Stage panel "Web3 Venture in 2026: What Still Gets Funded" with Keli Callaghan, Andy Tang and James Wo, in a session moderated by Marc Baumann. That afternoon, on the X Ventures Masterclass Stage, he was one of the judges of the Canton Track of Proof of Pitch, the summit's startup pitch competition, alongside Keli Callaghan, Danish Chaudhry and Yiannis Varelas. A press release of 11 June 2026 named Parthenon, which built a credit product for institutions, as the track's winner.
