Lisa Cameron moderated "Beyond USD: The Future of Euro, Sterling and Swiss Franc Stablecoins", a Day 2 panel on the Hecto Main Stage at Proof of Talk Paris 2026 on 3 June 2026. The session brought together Arnaud Caudoux, Elliot Hentov, Sasha Mills and Johannes Kern on stablecoins denominated in currencies other than the US dollar.
Cameron was the Member of Parliament for East Kilbride, Strathaven and Lesmahagow from 2015 until standing down at the 2024 general election, having previously worked as a consultant clinical psychologist. In 2021 she helped set up the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Crypto and Digital Assets, which she chaired. Her Paris Blockchain Week 2026 speaker biography states that she developed a programme of education on emerging technologies for MPs and members of the House of Lords, and that Greengage's 2024 publication Digital Parliamentarians named her as the MP who had raised cryptocurrency and digital assets more than any other parliamentarian.
After leaving Parliament, Cameron founded the UKUS Crypto Alliance, which describes itself as a bridge between industry, regulation and policy, created to strengthen ties between the United Kingdom and the United States on digital-asset regulation. Paris Blockchain Week's listing for its April 2026 event describes her as the alliance's founder. Speaking to Cointelegraph in Copenhagen in November 2025, she said the alliance's conversations with US senators and members of the Securities and Exchange Commission's Crypto Task Force had led it to expect a joint UK-US sandbox, which she expected to address the "passporting" of crypto licences between the two countries. She told the outlet that companies were choosing to leave the UK for jurisdictions where they felt better supported, and that "the UK has no time to lose and must act very quickly."
In June 2025, CFTC Acting Chairman Caroline Pham thanked Cameron by name, alongside Lord Taylor of Warwick, the Financial Club and the UK US Crypto Alliance, in remarks at the Digital Assets Global Forum's 100 Impact Leaders Dinner and Annual Awards at the House of Lords. According to her Paris Blockchain Week biography, Cameron was named Outstanding Industry Influencer of the Year at the 2025 Digital Commonwealth Awards and Industry Leader 2025 by the Blockchain for Good Alliance.
