Pierre Aubert

Pierre Aubert was Vice President of Engineering at Parity Technologies for almost three years. In a note published on Parity's website on 29 July 2026, Gavin Wood announced that Aubert was moving on, writing that he had "steered the engineering team through one of the most consequential periods of change in Parity's history, and kept us focused throughout on delivering the technologies that underpin Polkadot's future." Wood added that Aubert "leaves the team in good shape". No subsequent role has been announced in any dated source found.

In July 2024, Parity announced that Aubert would make his first appearance at its Polkadot Decoded conference, with a session titled "Building a Solid Foundation: Enhancing Stability & Reliability on Polkadot". According to the company's preview, the session would explain that for the second half of 2024 the core engineering team would focus less on rolling out new product launches and more on creating dependable technical infrastructure for the ecosystem to build on.

In November 2025, Aubert appeared on the Space Monkeys podcast. PolkaWorld's written account of the episode, which introduced him as Parity's Vice President of Engineering, reports him describing a change of course at the company. Parity's earlier plan had been to build blockchain infrastructure and leave applications to external developers; that plan had not worked out as expected, so Parity was building application prototypes and using them internally, a practice known as dogfooding. The same account records him discussing work towards usable decentralised storage and on-chain identity within the Polkadot stack.

On 3 June 2026, Aubert spoke at Proof of Talk Paris 2026 as a panellist on "Personhood, Provenance, and Verification in the Agentic Age", a session on the Taostats Stage on the summit's second day. The panel, moderated by Mohamed Ezeldin, also featured Evin McMullen, Stuart Haber and Chi Zhang.
