Robert Myers

Robert Myers is co-founder and chief executive of Manifold Labs, the company behind Targon, which runs as subnet 4 on the Bittensor network. Manifold presents Targon as a compute cloud on which customers deploy confidential GPUs and CPUs.

Myers's background lies inside Bittensor itself. OSS Capital described Myers in July 2025 as a founding Bittensor contributor, miner and subnet designer. A SimplyTao article of May 2026 lists an earlier role as a senior software engineer at Opentensor, and the Exploit Summit 2026 website describes Myers as a former Head of Research at OTF. Myers told The Block in May 2025 of having started mining TAO in January 2021, the first miner besides Bittensor co-founders Jacob Steeves and Ala Shaabana, and of stopping in mid-2024. In the same article Myers said: "There must be substance behind subnets for it to sustain long term."

In July 2025 Manifold Labs announced a $10.5 million Series A led by OSS Capital, with Jacob Steeves, Ala Shaabana and DCG among the co-investors named. On 23 March 2026 Manifold and Intel published a joint whitepaper, "Decentralized Compute on Untrusted Hardware Using Intel TDX and Encrypted CVMs". It pairs Intel TDX with NVIDIA Confidential Computing, and each encrypted virtual machine's disk key is released only after remote attestation succeeds.

Myers spoke at Proof of Talk Paris 2026, held on 2–3 June at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Louvre Palace, as founder and chief executive of Manifold Labs, in three sessions. On 2 June, on the Taostats Stage, Myers was among the speakers in "Bittensor Track - Subnet Keynotes" (15:30–16:45), alongside Julien du Bois, Micaela Bazo, Tim Kalic, Ken Miyachi and Shardul Bansal. Later that afternoon on the same stage, Myers was a panellist on "From Subnet to Market: Turning Bittensor Infrastructure into Real Businesses" (16:50–17:30), moderated by Mark Jeffrey, with Marcus (Mog) Graichen, Micaela Bazo and Gavin Zaentz. On 3 June, on the X Ventures Masterclass Stage, Myers spoke at the "Workshop by Targon - Applied Confidential Computing" (11:30–12:30).

The programme for Exploit Summit 2026, held in Montreal on 28–29 September, listed Myers for a Day 1 keynote on its OTF Stage, "Targon: From Confidential Compute to Full-Stack Cloud".
