The full account.
Victor Jung is Head of Digital Assets at Hamilton Lane, the private markets investment firm. Hamilton Lane announced his appointment in June 2022 to a newly created role, responsible for developing and overseeing the execution of the firm's digital asset strategy, reporting at the time to Frederick Shaw, Chief Risk Officer and Global Head of Operations. The firm's own biography lists him as a Managing Director based in Zurich.
Jung joined Hamilton Lane with nearly a decade of leadership experience in financial services across institutional and private wealth channels. He was most recently Head of Distribution Partners and Liquid Private Markets, Asia Pacific, at Partners Group in Singapore, where, according to Hamilton Lane's announcement, he oversaw business development and led the onboarding of the firm's first three wealth technology platforms. He began his career as an investment manager in the Alternative Investment Division at KB Asset Management. He holds a BA in Politics and International Relations from Korea University and is a Certified Commercial Investment Member.
Since his appointment, Hamilton Lane has brought several of its funds on-chain through named partnerships. Its Senior Credit Opportunities (SCOPE) fund, first launched on Polygon in 2023, was made available on Ethereum and Optimism through Securitize in July 2025, with daily pricing supported by RedStone oracles and redemptions through a liquidity pool capped at 5% of the fund's net asset value. In December 2024 the firm partnered with Allfunds Blockchain, with Apex Group as transfer agent, to offer tokenised funds to professional investors in Europe. In October 2025 KAIO tokenised SCOPE on the Sei Network as the HL SCOPE Access Fund, and in May 2026 Hamilton Lane launched a tokenised share class of its Global Private Assets Fund with Allfunds Blockchain and Apex Group, with BBVA Asset Management as first investor. Jung has described the goal as compliant improvement rather than disruption, telling CoinDesk in July 2025 that "DeFi can actually make an existing offering better, but still making it compliant."
Jung spoke at Proof of Talk Paris 2026 as Head of Digital Assets at Hamilton Lane, on the panel "After the Flush: What October 10th Revealed About Crypto Market Fragility" on the Hecto Main Stage on 2 June 2026. Alex Kim, Stephan Lutz and Avtar Sehra also spoke on the panel, which Artem Sinyakin moderated.
